Anita Heavey:
UI/UX designer, brand strategist and design mentor
I’m a multidisciplinary designer and mentor with over 20 years experience. I gained significant experience as part of the BBC’s digital portfolio (BBC 3 and BBC Voice & AI), covering Visual, UI, UX, brand and multi-modal voice design. Projects I led include a digital redesign for BBC Three’s responsive web presence , System Persona development for BBC’s Voice&AI, Persona development for BBC Three, Brand design collaboration with Moving Brands for Beeb (BBC’s Voice companion), Brand system of BBC Voice+Ai and an Interactive Radio collaboration with Sony & BBC Sounds. More recently in 2021, I founded Studio:ah, a
user-centered design consultancy that is remote-first & collaborates with a network of designers globally.
Throughout my career, I have worked in both industry and academic environments and enjoy the cultures, language and challenges of both. I have lectured and mentored at Career Foundry, IXDF (Interaction Design Foundation) TU Dublin and acted as external advisor at IADT, CIT and LYIT.
